How was the Diet Developed?

The ProLon® Diet was developed by Professor Valter Longo, Director of the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California. 

 In a nutshell, the development of the first ProLon® was a result of over 20 years of extensive preclinical and clinical studies conducted at the Longevity Institute, where Prof. Valter’s research showed that specific diets can mimic fasting, allowing the body to experience the renewing effects of a prolonged fast.

So How Do You do the Diet?

Your meals will come in 5 small boxes which include all your snacks, drinks, supplements, foods, and instructions for each day, to support you through your fast, all the while keeping your body nourished and reducing your hunger levels. 

 The diet is designed to be consumed for 5 consecutive days, before taking one day to transition, and then returning to your normal diet for the rest of the month. Ideally, you’ll stick to the food and drinks provided, aside from water and caffeine-free herbal teas, to enjoy all the benefits from the process.

How Often Can You Do It?

This totally depends on personal preferences and your goals surrounding your health and well-being. 

Ultimately, Prolon recommends completing three cycles of the program (once a month for three consecutive months), to experience the full extent of the benefits. However, this doesn’t mean that you won’t see benefits from only one cycle of the fast, so it’s still worth giving it a shot.
