Peppermint Bark

Peppermint Bark is one of the official flavors of the holiday season and it is so simple to make. You just need some white and dark chocolate chips, a double boiler and some candy canes.

Cook Time: 10 minutes


Ingredients

coconut oil for greasing
12oz. milk or dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
12oz. white chocolate chips
8 candy canes, crushed


Directions

1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or grease with coconut oil.

2. In a double boiler over medium heat, heat the milk or dark chocolate until melted and stir in the peppermint extract.

3. Pour into the lined baking sheet and put in the refrigerator until it hardens, about 30 minutes.

4. While the chocolate layer is hardening, heat the double boiler again (make sure its clean so your white chocolate stays white!).

5. While it is heating, crush your candy canes and set them aside.

6. Melt your white chocolate as you did the dark chocolate and pour over the hardened layer.

7. Top immediately with the crushed candy canes and put back into the refrigerator for 20-30min until hardened.
