Roasted Garlic

Roasted garlic elevates any recipe that calls for garlic and creates a beautiful fragrant garlic paste that you can use in anything from sauces to soups to roasted veggies and of course garlic bread.


Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes


Ingredients

As many heads of garlic as you would like, I usually do 2-3 at a time
olive oil (use code TRAILTOHEALTH for 10% off)


Directions

1. Trim the top quarter of the garlic off and peel back any paper that comes off.

2. Drizzle with a little bit of olive oil and and wrap in aluminum foil.

3. Roast in your oven for about 45min.

4. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before opening the foil pockets. Once it has cooled enough to touch the garlic, squeeze out the cloves into a bowl. It should come right out and resemble a soft paste.

5. Use this as a base for soups, veggies, sauces or on garlic bread.
