Instant Pot Carnitas

These Instant Pot carnitas are ready in less than an hour! You only need six ingredients to prepare this easy instant pot dinner for your family!

Cook Time: 62 minutes


Ingredients

2-3lb of pork shoulder butt, cut into 2” cubes (Order grass-fed meat from Butcher Box (discount varies) or US Wellness Meats (15% off first 2 orders) with code TRAILTOHEALTH)
1 cup chicken broth (Use code TRAILTOHEALTH for $15 off)
Juice of 1 lime
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sea salt

Directions

1. Place all the ingredients in the Instant Pot (use code TRAILTOHEALTH for 10% off) and seal and set to MANUAL High Pressure for 35 minutes. 

2. Once it is complete, release the pressure naturally for 20 minutes.

3. While the pressure is releasing, prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and heat the oven to broil. 

4. Remove the meat and shred with 2 forks and place on parchment lined baking sheet

5. Drizzle some of the remaining liquid on the meat from the Instant Pot and place in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until crispy.

6. Serve with Pico de Gallo or sliced avocado and Siete Cassava Flour tortillas
